(Newser) – Oslo's central train and bus station was evacuated today and traffic halted after a suspicious suitcase was left behind on a bus. "There is some baggage that was left on a bus and the police bomb squad is checking it out," a firefighter told Reuters. "All trains and buses have been canceled until further notice. Under police orders nobody is allowed to go into the station."

The bus was destined for the Oslo airport, and the baggage was reported to security by the driver. "A suspicious person left in a hurry leaving his hand luggage on the bus," said the driver, who called the man "nervous looking." Though investigators believe killer Anders Behring Breivik was alone when he bombed a government building and shot scores of teenagers at a youth political camp last week, he has said he was part of one of three secretive right-wing terror cells in Norway. Norwegian security has been on high alert since Breivik's attack.
