Bill Nye the Science Guy is making headlines after a recent Fox News appearance, during which things between him and anchor Jon Scott got a little awkward. Scott and Nye were talking about newly discovered moon volcanoes when Scott asked Nye if those volcanoes challenge climate change science: After all, he noted, "it's not like we've been up there burning fossil fuels." A surprised Nye responded, "Uh, no, volcanoes are not connected to the burning of fossil fuels," Media Matters reports.

"The big thing for us, on my side of this thing, is that science is true," he continued. "So when you say to yourself, well, I'm going to ignore all the evidence of climate change, you're saying, I'm going to ignore the best ideas anybody's ever had, that's science. And so this is quite troubling to those of us on our side of it." (More Bill Nye stories.)
