Micah Calamosca's first mistake was allegedly trying to carjack a vehicle inhabited by ... a plainclothes police officer. And the story only gets weirder from there: When the 21-year-old jumped into the car Saturday night and the detective drew his gun, Calamosca had his excuse ready. He told the Pittsburgh officer he was part of The Dark Knight Rises, filming nearby, and that the carjacking was included in the script, the AP reports.

Even weirder? The undercover officer was looking for an assault suspect at the time—and Calamosca matched that suspect's description. "When he got into the car, he told the fella to get out and it turns out it was the undercover police car that was called to check him out,” a witness tells WPXI. “Out of all the cars to try and carjack, this should be the last one to choose." Not surprisingly, WTAE reports that Calamosca is being held in jail. (More strange stuff stories.)
