Cops: Woman Draws Beard on Face, Robs Bank

(AP) – Both Bonnie and Clyde would be proud. Cops say a woman drew a beard on her face and wore men's clothes to rob a bank in Alabama. She allegedly told tellers at the Bank of Tuscaloosa in Cottondale she had a bomb, placed a device on the counter, and asked for money. She made off with an unknown amount of cash, says the AP. Police think she might also have robbed another bank in early July. Local cops and the FBI are conducting investigations.

Kiss, 19, turned himself in to police yesterday, accompanied by alleged accomplice Jason Giramma, also 19, who was pictured in the surveillance video but was not dressed as a cartoon character. Cops contacted Giramma last week and told him he and his pal must surrender, SignonSanDiego reports, adding that investigators confiscated the infamous Gumby suit when Kiss brought it in. (NEWSER) - One for the Legendary Fail Department: A person dressed in a Gumby costume attempted to rob a San Diego 7-Eleven on Monday. Here are the problems the would-be criminal ran into: One, the clerk thought it was a joke. Even after Gumby said, "This is a robbery," the employee replied he had cleaning duties to attend to and didn't have time for him. Two, if said would-be robber had a weapon, he couldn't get to it. (NEWSER) - German police say they busted a burglar responsible for nearly 100 break-ins because he left behind earprints, reports Der Spiegel . How so? He apparently put his ear against doors to listen for people inside. "Earprints are of similar value as fingerprints in terms of evidence," explained a police official. The suspect allegedly had hauled in $660,000 worth of stolen goods before his arrest. More»
