Bret Michaels Has Diva Demands, Too

For example: 'Sprite is not a substitute for Mountain Dew'

(Newser) – Bret Michaels is suing concert promoters for breach of contract, and the catering rider provided in the lawsuit shows that it's not just female entertainers who have "diva demands." Of course, Michaels' requirements aren't quite as wacky as, say, Mariah Carey's ... but his rider does note that "Sprite is not a substitute for Mountain Dew," according to the Hollywood Reporter. It also requests, among other things, four cases of spring water at room temperature, a bottle of Beefeater gin, a case of Corona, and absolutely no Styrofoam cups. (Click to compare with diva demands from Katy Perry, J.Lo, Sheryl Crow, and the Foo Fighters.)

I saw an interview with a heavy metal band (metallica?) and they always asked for a bowl of "red only" M&Ms.  The reason was that they had very detailed safety specs for the stage set-up, that would happen before they arrived. The reasoning was, if the promoters couldn't get the M&Ms right, they could not be trusted to get the stage right.  Band would get a "heads up" before hand, and could decide whether to cancel.
