Police in Quebec are debating whether to pursue criminal charges against a small-town mayor after he delivered a birthday present like no other his ex-wife had ever received. Isabelle Prevost awoke to a 20-tonne boulder sitting on her lawn recently, emblazoned with "“Happy Birthday, Isa XX”. Her ex-husband Dany Lariviere is not only mayor of Saint-Théodore-d’Acton, but the owner of a small excavation company, which would have enabled him to give Prevost the 'big rock' he claims she has always wanted.
“I had to do something so she’d leave me alone,” Dany Lariviere told TVA Monday morning. “That’s the biggest rock she’ll ever get in her life.” Read the full article.
