Kate Plus 8 Gets the Boot

TLC dumps show, Kate Gosselin looking ahead to book writing, dating

(Newser) – Kate and her 8 have finally been shown the gate. TLC officials have announced they're not renewing the contract for Kate Plus 8 (formerly Jon and Kate Plus 8 before Jon left for greener pastures with fewer children). TLC tried to soften the blow by pointing out that the reality series featuring the Gosselin brood of twins plus sextuplets will hit the 150-episode mark by the end of this season, "an exceptional milestone."

We've had a "great run," tweeted Kate. "Six years of whirlwind fun-filled adventures thanks to TLC. While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at breakfast this morning), we're looking forward to our bright future." The "happy-to-be-divorced" Kate hopes to do motivational speaking, book writing, and "maybe even some dating," reports MSNBC.

After watchhing just a small clip of the show Kate plus 8 last night August 29/2011. Both my husband & I were dicussed with how she treated her daughter when she said you know that when I'm packing you have to run to do what I want.  Her daughter is not her servant....she is only a small child.  She needs to hirer help for packing for trips if that is what she wants.   I'm personel GLAD that TLC has cancelled her show.  It should be cancelled today not after 2 more episodes. Children need to help that is true builds character, but to demand that they run when she needs them to help is not building character it's building bitterness in her children.  I come from a large family and know what it is like to work...we all had our jobs.  My parents did not push they just expected us all to help...not forcusfully just lovingly.  Last night show did not come across as being very loving to her daughter. It's not always about what Kate wants....the show is more to me about the kids...I pray that she finds a way to show her kids more love and not so much demanding attitude.

This is the first I've heard of this show or TLC, whatever the hell TLC stands for.
