(Newser) – The embattled Stephon Marbury continued his renaissance against the Jazz, scoring 28 (a season high) and going 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Brawny Knicks forward Zach Randolph had his eighth double-double in ten games, snagging 25 points and 14 rebounds—the last of which was a clutch offensive board with the Jazz down by two.

Carlos Boozer had 30 points in the losing effort, and star point guard Deron Williams added 26 but had some uncharacteristic late-game turnovers. Marbury's offense took all the attention away form his defense and locker-room leadership, which coach Isiah Thomas had cited as reasons for his recent demotion.
