LeBron, Cavs Hand C's 2nd Loss

Posted Nov 27, 07 10:39 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – LeBron James continued to play otherworldly basketball as he scored 38 points to lead Cleveland to a 109-104 overtime victory over the previously one-loss Celtics. James dished 13 assists on the night, and scored 11 points in the extra period. Ray Allen could have given the Celtics the lead with 22 seconds left in regulation, but uncharacteristically missed two free throws, reports the AP.

Allen led Boston’s dynamic trio with 29 points and Kevin Garnett added 19. James had averaged 37.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 9.5 assists in his previous six games; only Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson can claim such an impressive run. The game was hotly contested but James said it was no more special than the other 81 regular-season games.
