Oprah Requires Employees to Meditate Twice a Day

...and more from her Facebook live chat

(Newser) – In case you missed it, the Huffington Post has a recap of Oprah Winfrey’s Facebook live chat yesterday—and, according to HuffPo, it was “nothing short of incredible.” Highlights:

  • On fear: The talk show queen didn’t understand the meaning of the word until late 2010, when she found herself unable to breathe upon waking up each morning. (That could have something to do with her struggling network; she says being CEO of that is “a lot harder than I ever imagined.”)

  • On meditation: She actually now requires her staff to meditate twice each day.
  • On her family: Oprah claims her parents only had sex once, when she was conceived.
  • Wine or tequila? “Tequilaaaaaa!”
  • Perhaps the best quote of all: “I had no idea that being your authentic self could make me as rich as I've become. If I had, I'd have done it a lot earlier.”

I'm with you JoJo. To many, she's godlike. Personally, I find that a tad creepy.

Personally, I find a 30 minute meditation is as refreshing as a two hour nap.  I like the brainwave cds out there, that actually take you out of Beta really fast, and into a more refreshing brain space.
