(NEWSER) - Uggs have never been more sartorially controversial than they are right now: The Australian shoemaker has unveiled a new line of wedding Uggs , causing many a blogger and Twitter user to express their horror at the very idea. But not everyone is saying "I don't." Some reactions:

• "Ugg's I Do! collection gives ex wives-to-be three options for relaxed yet idiotic footwear for their Big Day," writes Erin Gloria Ryan on Jezebel . "Can I call a pair of shoes a miscarriage? An abortion? How about an ectopic pregnancy? An ovarian cyst? This is everything bad, painful, or inconvenient that can happen in or around a woman's uterus, but in shoe form."

Dish Network's Hopper can automatically skip commercials

(NEWSER) - How awesome would it be if your DVR automatically skipped commercials on shows recorded off the major networks? Probably not very awesome if you were one of those same networks, which is why they're outraged over the Dish Network's upcoming "Hopper," which, Dish announced last week, would be able to do just that with its "Auto Hop" feature. Fox released a statement today saying it would no longer accept ads for Hopper, and other networks have publicly expressed displeasure as well. More»

Super Bowl ad guidelines leaked to TMZ

(NEWSER) - Acura apologized this week over a casting document for its Super Bowl commercial that requested a black actor who is "not too dark." The casting sheet had specified: "Nice Looking, friendly. Not too dark." reports TMZ .
