Ron Paul: Sorry, No 'Cross Words' With Perry

Says he doesn't even recall the exchange

(Newser) – Images of Rick Perry seemingly getting in Ron Paul's face during a TV break in this week's debate have triggered all kinds of fun speculation about what was going on, and now we've got explanations form both camps, notes Ben Smith of Politico. Prepare to be disappointed.

  • Paul: "I don't even recall the moment when that was occurring and I don't remember what he said, and we didn't have any cross words."
  • Perry spokesman (to the National Review yesterday): “They were talking about border security and it was a very cordial conversation."
(See the International Business Times for the most-discussed image.)

If you dig thru the latest NBU articles and find my original article there is a link to 4 or so pictures. I dont care what they say about the confrontations, all you have to do is look at the pictures and it is pretty obvious that Perry's body language is pretty apparent. In one photo he has Paul's arm and is wagging a finger in his face. I think Paul is making a conscious choice to NOT make this an issue and to keep on calling BS on their BS as his platform. Thx for the pickup/suggestion Newser.. now show all the pictures.
