Isles Top Sens for First Time in 3 Seasons

(Newser) – New York's Mike Sillinger scored two go-ahead goals, the second in a shootout, to give his team its first win over Ottawa since 2004. Rick DiPietro went six rounds against Ray Emery to seal the win against the Sens, who had gone an astounding 15-2 before their current 1-3-2 slump. In other hockey action:

  • Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov's perfect streak fell as his Coyotes were tamed by the Wild, 3-1.
  • The Stars coughed up an early 2-0 lead against the Devils to fall, 4-2.
