Rockets Eclipse Suns 100-94

Posted Nov 29, 07 4:01 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Houston's best chance to beat the Suns last night was to hold them under 100 points, a feat made easier by Phoenix's uncharacteristically slow pace. With Yao Ming playing at a comfortable jog and Steve Nash handing out a season-low six assists, the Rockets cruised to a 100-94 victory, reports the Arizona Republic.

Nash totaled 29 points and Amare Stoudemire followed with 25 in their team's lowest-scoring outing yet this season. Raja Bell left early with a hurt back, and usually hot sixth man Leandro Barbosa pulled in just four points and four rebounds. The Rockets got more help from their bench, which augmented Yao's 31 points and Tracy McGrady's 18.
