Without LeBron, Cavaliers Blown Out by Pistons

Posted Nov 29, 07 3:40 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Cleveland was already trailing Detroit when LeBron James sprained his finger late in the second quarter, and with King James in street clothes for the second half, the Cavaliers had no chance to regroup. The Pistons crushed the Cavs, 109-74, on a solid all-around team effort, the Detroit News reports. In other, closer games:

  • Tony Parker bagged his first double-double with 29 points and 11 assists as a Gilbert-Arenas-less Washington fell short of San Antonio, 109-94.
  • Minnesota made a valiant comeback attempt, whittling a 20-point deficit down to just three points in the fourth quarter, but Dallas held on to win, 109-103.
