Salahi Isn't Kidnapped: She's With Journey Guitarist

(Newser) – Insert appropriate Journey lyric here: Tareq Salahi was convinced his wife had been kidnapped today, but it turns out that Michaele is safe and sound ... in the arms of Journey guitarist Neal Schon, reports TMZ. "Nobody kidnapped her and they are in Memphis together," says a band rep. Apparently, Michaele (who gained infamy with her husband as White House gate-crashers) has had a long relationship with Schon.

Now that Tareq Salahi has filed for divorce , TMZ gleefully reports that Michaele could find herself broke: Their prenup strips her of the right to any money or property accumulated during their marriage if she cheats, and she forfeits her right to spousal support if she moves out. As for Tareq, Perez Hilton notes that he’s been banned from all Journey concerts, but he still has wine to help him through this tough time: TMZ reports that he was at the bankruptcy auction of his own winery yesterday, trying to buy back some of the equipment to get it back up and running. (NEWSER) - In the ongoing trials and tribulations of Tareq Salahi, add insult to insult: Not only did his wife ditch him for a has-been guitarist from Journey, but now Salahi's complaining that the band is messing with him. Seems old Tareq was the victim of a quartet of 3am phonecalls this morning—coincidentally from the very same Oregon area code from which Michaele Salahi phoned him back in the good old days when he thought she was just abducted , reports TMZ . (NEWSER) - Now this is bizarre: Tareq Salahi has reached out to TMZ because he thinks wife Michaele has been the victim of a publicity stunt, er, kidnapping. Salahi, who is of course famous for crashing a White House dinner with his wife and then moving on to a stint on Real Housewives, says he last saw Michaele at their Virginia home yesterday morning, and she was supposedly about to go to the hairstylist. She skipped the appointment and hasn't been seen since, and Salahi says the cops aren't taking him seriously. More»

(NEWSER) - Poor White House gatecrasher Michaele Salahi recently revealed she has multiple sclerosis, which is why she had to duck out of the state dinner so quickly. One problem, though: The newly snarky Tim Gunn doesn't believe it. “I find it curious that the story is coming out now," said the Project Runway style guru during an Access Hollywood Live appearance to promote his new book. "I would want a doctor’s note. I don’t mind if the Salahis hear this," he added. "I believe that they are sociopaths. They believe their own lies." More»
