Yep, it’s official: The birther movement is still not dead. Pat Boone, who was a heartthrob in the ‘50s and who more recently led an evangelical Christian tour of the holy land with Mike Huckabee, proudly came out as a birther to the San Francisco Chronicle at the recent California GOP convention. President Obama’s birth certificate is a “total Photoshopped fraud,” Boone asserts, adding, “I was in Kenya a year and a half ago and everybody said, ‘You know, your president was born here.’”

Boone, a member of the Beverly Hills Tea Party, also claimed Obama is “spending millions of dollars” to hide all his records, and that “experts” have verified his long-form birth certificate is a fake. That’s not all: “Growing up in Indonesia, he used to read the Koran in Arabic, so that was instilled in him as a young boy … he hasn’t celebrated any Christian holidays in the White House, but he does Ramadan,” Boone says, although the Chronicle helpfully points out that Obama has, in fact, hosted the White House Easter Prayer Breakfast.
