Witherspoon Rises to Top of Salary List

(newser)Rendition was a dud, but Reese Witherspoon's peachy $15 million to $20 million fee per movie puts her atop this year’s highest-paid actress list. But she and other leading ladies—such as runner-up Angeline Jolie—often accept lower payoffs to keep their schedules packed, the Hollywood Reporter observes.

Jolie accepted $8 million for her work on Beowulf because it was quick to film. Cameron Diaz is the only other woman asking a minimum $15 million, while Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts fetch a mere $10 million to $15 million. Drew Barrymore, Jodie Foster, and Halle Berry round out the top 10.
