Biden's Brother Hospitalized by Mystery Package

Joe Biden's brother received a mysterious package full of white powder yesterday that sent him to the hospital and sparked a Hazmat emergency, the Palm Beach Post reports. Francis Biden, 57, opened the package at his Ocean Ridge, Florida, home and saw the powder pour out onto his skin. Authorities soon sealed off the street, evacuating neighbors for more than 8 hours while Biden and his girlfriend went to a hospital.

She was released and Biden stayed overnight. "I was the only one who came in contact with the powder, so they kept me," Biden says. But he left the hospital today with no ill effects, and the FBI says the powder—sent from somewhere in India—was benign.
