(Newser) – The well-rested Pittsburgh Penguins, off since Saturday, got two goals from Sidney Crosby in a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars, who were playing their fourth game in six nights. Evgeni Malkin and Tyler Kennedy had the other tallies for the Pens, winners of three straight. Marc-Andre Fleury made 22 saves. In other NHL action:

  • Zach Parise tallied four points, including a hat trick for the red-hot Devils as Martin Brodeur shut out Montreal, 4-0. It was New Jersey's sixth consecutive victory.
  • Washington scored first but Carolina followed with three in a row and held on for a 4-3 victory. Alexander Ovechkin had his 19th goal for Washington.
