Nikki Haley Gives SC Legislators Report Cards Dems oddly scored a bunch of Fs By Kevin Spak, Newser Staff Posted Oct 6, 2011 10:19 AM CDT 20 comments Comments In this Aug. 13, 2011 file photo, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley speaks in Charleston, S.C. (AP Photo/Alice Keeney, File) (Newser) – Look out South Carolina lawmakers—Nikki Haley is grading you. The governor this week followed through on her promise to issue “report cards” for the state’s legislators, grading them on how well they supported her agenda, the Columbia Free Times reports. Unsurprisingly all the Fs went to Democrats, though one Democrat, Yancey McGill, did manage an A for supporting Republican Lt. Gov. Ken Ard during his ethics spat. While no Republicans earned Fs, a handful got slapped with Ds, including the Senate’s president pro tem. Democrats scoffed at the ratings, calling them a partisan exercise. “She’s been busy F-ing the rest of the state,” quipped one, so “I’m not surprised that she F-ed me.” Democrats even issued their own mocking report card for Haley, grading her A+ in such categories as hypocrisy and pay-to-play politics. Got a problem with the report cards? Call the governor's office! You'll be told it's a great day in South Carolina.
