What not to do when you're not a fan of someone's karaoke prowess: After complaining about a 79-year-old man's singing in a hotel bar, a man in upstate New York punched the elderly singer, breaking his nose and facial bones and putting his head through a window. Paul Collen, 42, was yesterday convicted of second-degree assault; the level was raised because the victim was older than 65, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports. Collen faces up to 7 years in prison when he is sentenced later this month, the AP notes. (More karaoke stories.)
