Why Are the Top 1% In a Panic About Other 99%?

(User Submitted) – Paul Krugman describes Wall St. and their cohorts as being in a panic about Occupy Wall St. because the prospect of losing even some of their significant financial advantages frightens them. They exaggerate the position of OWS participants and supporters. They are denounced by Cantor as "'mobs' and the pitting of Americans against Americans.” Rand Paul worries "“that the protesters will start seizing iPads, because they believe rich people don’t deserve to have them." Bloomberg, New York’s mayor states that the protesters are trying to “take the jobs away from people working in this city,” which is certainly not among their goals. CNBC, states that the protesters “let their freak flags fly,” and are “aligned with Lenin.” Also not, for the most part true, although the 99% is far from a homogeneous group.

When the people protest against inequality in other countries it's called protesting for freedom and democracy, but when it's done here it is just left wing agitators and trouble makers.  Isn't that exactly what the leaders of Syria, Tunisia, Egypt and Libya said about their protests?
