(Newser) – Dominique Strauss-Kahn's name has appeared in another sex scandal, reports the Daily Mail. This time, a French investigation into a prostitution racket has turned up a high-ranking police officer who had hoped to lead Strauss-Kahn's protection unit, had DSK been elected French president. That police official allegedly organized orgies for Strauss-Kahn in Paris in a duplex suite at a luxury hotel, and even brought prostitutes to DSK in New York.

The inquiry also alleges that a 62-year-old pimp nicknamed "Dodo" visited Strauss-Kahn several times in New York City. At least two of the prostitutes are claiming that DSK was their client. Strauss-Kahn has not been accused with any crime in the latest inquiry, but the police officer who arranged the meetings is expected to be taken into custody soon. (NEWSER) - Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been charged in yet another sex scandal, and this time it's his native France doing the charging. The onetime IMF chief was interviewed by magistrates today and subsequently charged over his alleged links to a prostitution ring , reports the BBC . Strauss-Kahn admits attending numerous sex parties, in what's become known as the "Carlton affair," after the hotel in which they allegedly took place. It seems Anne Sinclair will head up the Huffington Post's new French edition, the New York Times reports, as she is listed as editorial director on an invitation to the news conference introducing the venture. (NEWSER) - Standing by her man has made Anne Sinclair a very popular woman in France. Dominique Strauss-Kahn's wife has been named as woman of the year by a French women's magazine after topping an opinion poll, the New York Post reports. With 25%, Sinclair came out ahead of Christine Lagarde, Strauss-Kahn's successor as IMF chief, who scored 24%. Tristane Banon, who accused DSK of attempted rape, came in last in the poll, with 4%.
