Shia LaBeouf had quite a night last week in Vancouver, first allegedly getting himself kicked out of a nightclub before getting into a brawl with a guy outside. TMZ—which has video, of course—reports that LaBeouf and the other man involved first got into an argument inside, then continued it after getting the boot. Oddly, the guy took off his shirt before going to town on LaBeouf’s face and head and knocking him to the ground.

Celebrities and nightclubs have always been a volatile combination. Newser rounds up some other memorable alcohol-fueled brawls:

  • Nicolas Cage lost it outside a Romania nightclub around 5am, screaming at a man and two women, “I'll f*****g die because of honor. I'll f*****g die right now,” and “See my eyes—respect them as you'd respect me.” And it's all on tape.
  • Matthew Fox was detained outside an Ohio bar after attempting to board a party bus—of which he was not a guest—and then being accused of punching the female bus driver in the “crotch and breast.”
  • Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were celebrating New Year’s in Miami when they were spotted fighting on two consecutive nights. One fight just involved words, but the next day witnesses said the women exchanged blows.
  • Plaxico Burress didn't get into a brawl at a nightclub, but he did shoot himself in the leg at one.
And then, of course, there are the celebrities who get themselves kicked out of strip clubs… (More Shia LaBeouf stories.)
