LT Leads SD Over KC With 2nd Half TDs

Jets, Bills add to misery for Fins, 'Skins in early AFC East games

(Newser) – LaDainian Tomlinson took control after halftime, scoring both of the second half's touchdowns, and the Chiefs continued their spiral out of football relevance. Kansas City highlights were limited to a touchdown by hulking defensive end Jared Allen and a team-record 81-yard punt by Dustin Colquitt. In early AFC East road-win action:

  • Rookie John Beck (five turnovers) and his winless Dolphins made the 3-9 Jets look like worldbeaters in a 40-13 rout.
  • Still mourning the shooting death of safety Sean Taylor, Washington kept Buffalo out of the end zone but still fell, 17-16, on a last-minute field goal.
