(Newser) – If rappers Insane Clown Posse have a show in your town, lock your windows and bolt your door: Their fans, who call themselves Juggalos, are officially a “gang threat,” according to the FBI. Their inclusion in the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment apparently puts them in a league with the Bloods and Crips, notes Spencer Ackerman at Wired. The agency says the “loosely-organized hybrid gang” is “forming more organized subsets and engaging in more gang-like criminal activity.”

“Although recognized as a gang in only four states,” the FBI says, “many Juggalos subsets exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence.” The Feds cite thefts, drugs, and felony assaults among the Juggalos’ crimes, noting that it can be “difficult to classify them and identify their members.” The agency points out the Insane Clown Posse connection only in a footnote.

Your US tax dollars at work. This is just another sign that we have poured much, too much money into the budget of the FBI and other law enforcement. They have too much time on their hand, obviously.

Seriously people? Okay, number one, most of these comments aren't even on ICP. Number two, why is all of the focus on ICP? Why aren't other rappers targeted? People are ignorant, completely ignorant. I'll admit. I'm a fan of ICP and all of Psychopathic Records, I'm a Juggalo. I will admit, there are some DUMB, IGNORANT people who claim to be a "Juggalo" and go out and do stupid things..such as robbing gas stations or hurting people and say "Well, I did it because ICP raps about it." Really? No, the kids that are doing that are retarded. Sure, ICP's lyrics are offensive and they use the word "murder" or "chop ya neck off" but they're all about metaphors. What Violent J and Shaggy are saying is all of the wife beaters, bigots, rapists...etc should get what they deserve. Do they not? You people can't tell me that you've never been pissed off when you're watching the news or reading the paper and you see/read something about someone getting raped or beaten, or both! ICP is a "choice music" Just like people who listen to country or opera. A lot of people don't like cussing and rapping and horrorcore, underground music....but A LOT of people DO. There's nothing wrong with being a fan of ICP or claiming to be a Juggalo/Juggalette, but we shouldn't get punished because a few dumb kids are taking their lyrics the wrong way. People hear what they want to hear, and what these people are hearing is "murder" "kill" "blood" You aren't listening to the whole song. Take into consideration that just because people look and act different and aren't conformed to society...they aren't bad people. This is just some petty BS that people need to get over...lets focus on the real problems.

ICP shows are not a safe place to be. There fans go after other acts on the bill.
