TSA to Fire Screener Who Left 'Get Your Freak On' Note

A woman found it in her suitcase, near her sex toy

(Newser) – The TSA screener who found a sex toy in a woman's suitcase and left a note saying, "Get your freak on girl" will soon be out of a job. The agency called the note "highly inappropriate" and said it plans to fire the Newark screener, reports AP. The unidentified worker will first get a chance to appeal. The story gained traction after Jill Filipovic posted a Twitter photo of the note earlier this week.

"Total violation of privacy, wildly inappropriate and clearly not ok, but I also just died laughing in my hotel room," she wrote initially in a blog at Feministe. Since then, she's watched with dismay as the story turned into a media frenzy. "I get no satisfaction in hearing that someone may be in danger of losing their job over this," she wrote in a later post. "I would much prefer a look at why ‘security’ has been used to justify so many intrusions on our civil liberties, rather than fire a person who made a mistake."

The note reads, Get Your Freak On Girl.

What? So this blogger discovers that a government employee violated her privacy, but she doesn't want that employee fired for it?

This is the mental acuity of the typical government worker.  Sure, there are some good ones, but there are so many f**ktards like this guy who left the note.  Get out of our lives, gov't intruders.

...And the idiots would say, "if you have nothing to hide, then you shouldn't worry about your privacy".  But if I don't hide things, I have no privacy. Privacy is a right that we must exercise otherwise we won't enjoy it. We especially have a right against the snooping eyes of a government which is suppose to protect our rights and allow us to live with no government interference as long as others are not harmed.  A government should fear its people and facilitate the will of its people!
