(NEWSER) - At this point, it's common knowledge that Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries was a reality show stunt—but it turns out that Kardashian even scripted that magical moment when Humphries popped the question. Humphries has told friends and family that Kardashian actually planned "how, where, and when" the proposal would happen, one source tells Radar , noting that the whole thing was "absolutely no surprise to her." Of course, it just happened to be caught on camera and aired on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. (NEWSER) - Kate Middleton turned 30 on Monday, so of course Kim Kardashian got her a present. If by "got her a present," you mean "designed an unfortunate-looking pair of shoes and then named it 'The Duchess' in an effort to pump up sales." Glamour points to a video of Kardashian presenting the quilted heels to Kate, and at least one blogger agrees with us that the shoes' namesake "wouldn't be caught dead" wearing them. Sick of the reality TV family? Sign the petition!

(NEWSER) - Perhaps you just can’t bring yourself to Occupy Wall Street, but we think we’ve found a cause everyone can finally get behind. A new online petition, titled “ No More Kardashian ,” calls for E! to boot the family from the airwaves, and ABC News reports that as of Tuesday, 70,601 had signed (it's up to almost 160,000 as of this posting). It’s also worth mentioning that a “Boycott the Kardashians” Facebook page has more than 55,000 fans. The organizer of the petition tells Yahoo! TV , “It is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them." More here . • Pamela Anderson: Perhaps Dancing With the Stars will help her pay some of the $493,144 she owes California.
• Wesley Snipes: He actually went to prison after failing to file for a few years and racking up $2.7 million in debt. He was released on a $1 million bond.

Britney secures her comeback with seven nods

(NEWSER) - Beyoncé and Lady Gaga lead the pack with nine MTV Video Music Award nominations each, People reports. E! adds another notable: Britney Spears, with seven. The awards are set for Sept. 13. Elsewhere:

• One of the two police chiefs charged with breaking into the home of Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker’s surrogate has been placed on paid leave, the AP reports. Both cops, who are from neighboring townships, pleaded not guilty.
