A tense but safe landing today at an airport in Warsaw: A Boeing 767 that took off from Newark, New Jersey, with 231 people aboard had to land on its belly when the wheels failed to deploy, reports CNN. The pilot of the LOT Polish Airlines flight dumped fuel and circled the airport for an hour to nearly empty the tanks before coming down. No injuries were reported, and only a few "sparks and small fires" resulted, notes AP. (More Boeing 767 stories.)
