(Newser) – The legal wrangling that has followed the September death of hedge fund manager Seth Tobias in his Florida swimming pool is sensational enough, the New York Times reports—his wife says he drowned; Tobias' brothers accuse his wife of murder—but details of the high living bankrolled by high finance put the matter in an entirely different light.

A former assistant added tawdry details: Mrs. Tobias cajoled her cocaine-addled husband into the pool by promising sex with a male go-go dancer named Tiger, whom the couple knew from a nearby gay club they frequented. Tobias' $300 million hedge fund might've been small potatoes on Wall Street, but the 15 minutes of fame aren't yet up for the CNBC regular.
