Despite a Philips Arena scoreboard that had them up 75-0 at one point in the quarter, reality was much less sweet for Atlanta, who saw Detroit turn a close game into a rout with a giant third. The Pistons went on to win 106-95, taking their fourth straight and sixth of the last seven, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Detroit out shot the Hawks 30-13 in the pivotal third quarter, and survived a marginal 4th quarter comeback, led by Josh Childress, who finished with an Atlanta team-high 18 points. Tayshaun Prince had 23 for the Pistons, and Jarvis Hayes put up 17 points in 17 minutes of play. Five additional players put up double figures for Detroit. (More NBA stories.)
