• 1986: Duke fans fall in love with themselves after setting up tents in so-called "Krzyzewskiville"—a makeshift camp named after six-year head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Soon a simple setup "devolved into a Byzantine three-color classification system with wait lists and line monitors."

(NEWSER) - A quest to play pro football might keep a Duke basketball player in school for another year, ESPN reports. Greg Paulus, who has used up his basketball eligibility at Duke, has been offered a tryout for the school’s football team—but at receiver, not quarterback, where he starred in high school. Blue Devils' offense goes cold as Mountaineers advance

(NEWSER) - West Virginia ended today what Belmont failed to on Thursday: an upset of second-seeded Duke, reports the AP. Joe Alexander had 22 points and 11 rebounds as West Virginia held the Blue Devils to 38% shooting, out-rebounding them 47-27 in the 73-67 victory. Tar Heels score games final 10 points to beat Blue Devils

(NEWSER) - No. 6 Duke has lost only once at Cameron Indoor Stadium this season, but it is one loss too many as far as the ACC title goes. Top-ranked North Carolina got 16 points and 15 rebounds from Tyler Hansbrough en route to beating their bitter rival Blue Devils 76-68 last night, reports the Associated Press. More»

(NEWSER) - The No. 7 Duke Blue Devils moved into a tie for first-place in the ACC with a 71-58 victory over Georgia Tech. It is Duke’s second win in a row after dropping two straight. Gerald Henderson and DeMarcus Nelson each had 15 points to lead the Blue Devils. Duke is now 15-0 at home this season, according to the Associated Press. More»
