Is anyone surprised that America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift, once again took home artist of the year at last night’s American Music Awards? Apparently Swift, who also won favorite country female artist and favorite country album, was: “This is so crazy” was her response. She beat the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, and Adele, who herself also won three awards—favorite pop/rock female artist, adult contemporary artist, and pop/rock album. But Adele was a no-show as she’s recovering from throat surgery, the AP notes.

Maroon 5 won for favorite pop/rock band, Beyonce for favorite soul/R&B female artist, and Rihanna for favorite soul/R&B album. Performers included Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, J.Lo, and … David Hasselhoff.
