Arab League Sanctions Syria

Syria calls move a betrayal of Arab solidarity

(AP) – The Arab League has approved sanctions against Syria to pressure the regime to end its deadly eight-month crackdown on dissent. Damascus slammed the move as a betrayal of Arab solidarity. At a press conference in Cairo, Qatar Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim said 19 of the League's 22 member nations approved the sanctions, including cutting off transactions with the Syrian central bank and halting Arab government funding for projects in Syria. The League's step was unprecedented against an Arab nation. Syria is facing mounting international pressure to end its violent suppression of protests against President Bashar Assad, which the UN says has killed more than 3,500 people since March.

The Arab League has lost it's ways, they are nothing more than traitors. Think of them as a puppet league of the UN. Being that a member of Qatar is leading this comes to no surprise, they currently have 7000 troops deployed in Libya who have done nothing but stirr trouble. They hide behind their masters like cowards. It's a shame these day, arabs b**** about people seeing them as terrorists and islam being about peace, yet what do they do? Go around stirring trouble with other arabs and killing other arabs. I recall Bashar al-Assad inviting these clowns to see for themselves that everything being said about Syria is all a lie and all they do is lie saying they were denied entry. If you listen to a speech by former US 4 Star General Wesley Clark you'll know that this isn't about the safety of protestors or anyone is Syria for that matter. Back in 1990 and after 9/11 Wesley Clark was both told by people in the Government with top security clearance that the US was going to destroy the governments of 7 countries in 5 yrs, he was told this twice. Iraq, Syria , Lebanon , Libya, Somalia , Sudan and Iran. How many have already been destroyed? Kenyan troops and US drones along with a small amount of US boots are already in Somalia. The excuse, "They must clean up all former soviet client regimes before the next super power comes on to challenge us." Here is the video if you want to see for yourselves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha1rEhovONU Just remember this is a highly decorated General saying this.

It's actually pretty nice to see the League growing some teeth.  And using them productively.

Wow; being criticized by such a sterling vanguard of women and human rights and transparency such as the Arab League.  That's gotta hurt.
