In an effort to further improve the health care system in the United States, President Obama announced this morning that an additional $50 million would be dedicated to treating AIDS and improving medical facilities across the country, 30 years after the disease was first discovered.
December 1st marks the 24th anniversary of World AIDS Day, and former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton attended via satellite, praising the President on his dedication to helping some of the roughly 1.2 million Americans living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
President Obama says the United States plans to host next year's World AIDS Conference, since the removal of a 22 year old ban on allowing people with HIV/AIDS to enter the country. Read the full article.
