Guys Think About Sex 19 Times a Day

For women, it's about half that: Study

(Newser) – So maybe men don't really think about sex every seven seconds, as one famous study claimed a while back. Maybe they just think about it 18.6 times a day. And women think about it 9.9 times a day. A new study out of Ohio State University gave 283 university students golf tally counters and asked them to click whenever they thought about sex, reports the LA Times.

Those might be averages, but the students reported a pretty wide range of sex-thinking—between once a day and 388 times for the men, and once and 140 for women—with those who thought about it more saying they were more comfortable with their sexuality. The results will be published in the Journal of Sex Research. Students also were asked to click in for thoughts about sleep and food (to cover the fact it was a sex study). It turns out men think about food 18 times a day versus 15 for women, and they think about sleep 11 times a day, versus 8.5 for women.

Count to 20, and you'll know one of his thoughts.

Maybe men are just better at remembering to push the button than women. Or maybe women automatically skip counting every other thought so they don't appear too horny.
