Kim Richards enters rehab

(Newser) – The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills already dealt with a suicide in this season's premiere, and now there's more trouble. Kim Richards, Housewife, former child star, and aunt to Paris Hilton, has gone to rehab, sources tell Entertainment Tonight. The world learned about Richards' drinking problem in the show's first season, when Richards and sister Kyle blew up at each other in a limo, with Kyle yelling, "You are an alcoholic!"

In an episode last month, Richards explained her trainwreck-y behavior by telling plastic surgeon/fellow castmate's hubby Paul Nassif that she's taking a number of prescription drugs for depression and anxiety: Trazodone, Lexapro, and Topomax, the last of which E! notes is an antiseizure drug sometimes prescribed to alcoholics. In an appearance on Bravo last night, People reports, castmate Taylor Armstrong offered her support to Richards and said, "if she's getting healthy what more could we ask?"

Sources say the show pressured the Armstrongs to live beyond their means—they were actually millions in debt and being sued by investors—and also pressured them to ramp up the drama in their relationship. (NEWSER) - Russell Armstrong, the soon-to-have-been ex-husband of Real Housewife of Beverly Hills' Taylor Armstrong, was found dead last night. The fire department found Armstrong hanging in his Los Angeles bedroom in an apparent suicide, after he was initially discovered by a roommate, TMZ reports.
