American Airlines Boots Alec Baldwin Off Plane

After a confrontation over ... a cell phone Scrabble game?

(Newser) – An American Airlines pilot kicked Alec Baldwin off a plane today, and the reason smacks more of Kenneth than Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock terms. TMZ explains: Baldwin was playing a game of Words With Friends on his phone while the plane was at the gate. When the cabin door closed, he got into a tiff with a flight attendant who demanded he turn it off. After that, he got out of his seat and slammed the bathroom door so hard that the captain called back to find out what was going on and ordered Baldwin off the plane, according to passengers.

Baldwin's friends have a slightly different take: that he didn't go to the lavatory but did get out of his seat (despite the keep-seatbelts-fastened sign being on) to get an attendant's name so he could file a complaint. Either way, he got the boot and ended up on a different flight. Baldwin has been tweeting about it here with a "theresalwaysunited" hashtag. Sample: "Last flight w American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950's find jobs as flight attendants." (Maybe Baldwin read this?)

He is an ass. Glad the airlines did what they did regardless of who he thinks he is. Whatever credit card he endorses is probably losing money by having him as their spokesperson, I know I wouldn't use them. Some people's heads get so big and unfortuantely they don't have the brains to fill it up.

Bravo for the pilot, Alec Baldwin is a pompous ass, who thinks he is gods gift to the world. Next time he should take his private plane so he can do what ever he wants.
