iPhone Gains Ground as Business Tool

(Newser) – Apple's iPhone is rapidly become the new weapon of choice of the corporate road warrior. Reuters reports that the iPhone, already popular  for  personal communications and entertainment,  is gaining ground as a business tool. Analysts say if its e-mail capabilities are upgraded,  the iPhone could even challenge the indispensable Blackberry in the corporate sales force arsenal.

"What really made the iPod take off was when they made it compatible with Windows. So if they made the iPhone compatible with Windows e-mail, meaning Outlook, that would really make sales take off," said Shaw Wu, an analyst with American Technology Research. Business users also want it on a faster network than the one currently deployed by AT&T.
