There's got to be a better way of getting out of a bad date than stealing a car. And not just any car. Your date's car. A Florida man is in jail accused of doing just that, reports the St. Petersburg Times. Pasco County Sheriff's deputies say 27-year-old Michael Pratt was watching a movie with his date in the Tampa area. He told her he had to get something from her car, so she gave him keys. And waited.
Detectives say when Pratt didn't come back, she called him and he laughed and told her he had stolen her car. Pratt, who served time in prison for a previous car theft, did finally call four days later and told her he dumped the vehicle. Detectives found it and arrested him.
