Pat Robertson Calls SNL's Tebow Skit 'Bigotry'

Televangelist says 'anti-Christian' bias is rampant

(Newser) – One person most definitely not amused by last weekend's Tim Tebow skit on Saturday Night Live was Pat Robertson, reports the LA Times. The sketch, in which Jesus visits Tebow in the locker room and tells him he's overdoing the religious stuff, is evidence of the "anti-Christian bigotry in this country that's just disgusting," complained Robertson on the Christian Broadcast Network.

“If this had been a Muslim country and they had done that and had Muhammad doing that stuff, you would have found bombs being thrown off and bodies on the street,” he says. So far, Tebow himself has not commented on the sketch. Mediaite has video of Robertson's rant here. Or click here to see the skit for yourself.

And this from the biggest bigot of all, anything he doesn't believe in or like is bad, and SNL is comedy, leave it alone and what is our big bigot doing watching it anyway, doesn't he understand if he doesn't like (or understand) it  CHANGE THE CHANEL AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!!

First off, I believe a show like SNL would cease to exist in a Muslim country...I'm sure after one episode the cast would be sentenced to stoning or lashes. Secondly, Tebow is an athlete/celebrity...every part of his professional and personal life that he chooses to make public will be subject to teasing. I'm not sure why just because it has to do with religion everyone is throwing a hissy fit. I don't see ANYONE rushing to Tom Cruise's defense when his Scientology beliefs are made fun of. Pat Robertson, you are a fool...everything is fair game on SNL and I for one, LOVE IT.
