(Newser) – "Awesome" was the word that Phoenix's coach used to describe his team's offense after a big win Wednesday; tonight's game qualified too, as Steve Nash had 19 assists in a 122-107 victory over the Washington Wizards, reports AP. Phoenix got 27 points from Amare Stoudemire, and the team shot 77% in the third quarter while scoring 40. Also in hoops:

  • Andres Nocioni had 22 points and led a dominant Chicago bench in a 98-91 win over the Detroit. The Bulls' backups outscored Detroit's 45-14, while ending their five-game winning streak.
  • The New York Knicks stayed stuck on one road victory this season after losing by 11 at Philly. Jamal Crawford led the losers with 28 points.
