Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner might want to keep his voice down time next time he decides to discuss the first lady's behind in a public place. A Democratic operative overheard the not-so-thin Wisconsin Republican on his cell phone in an airport lounge, loudly recounting how after buying some "crap" at a church auction, a woman approached him and praised Michelle Obama, Fishbowl DC reports. Sensenbrenner said he told the woman that Michelle Obama should practice what she preaches, because "she lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself."
Sensenbrenner "was referring to the first lady’s healthy-food initiative," an aide said in a statement. "He doesn’t think the government should be telling Americans what to eat. While he may not agree with all of her initiatives, he plans to contact Michelle’s office to apologize for his comments." Unlucky for the congressman that a Democrat was listening in on his conversation: Maybe those three lottery wins used up all his good fortune.
