Angry Iran Blasts US for 'Espionage'

(Newser) – Iran has blasted the US for spying and demanded “explanations for US espionage" in a letter sent to Washington, the BBC reports.  Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said today that a recent US intelligence report—which claims Iran's nuclear weapons program ended four years ago—was full of “facts and lies,” but reveals extensive espionage against his country.

Mottaki denied any Iran nuke weapons program and said the US report was 70% true and 30% false. “They refused to confess about this 30% because they did not want to lose all their reputation,” he said. Iran sent the letter via the Swiss Embassy, because Tehran and Washington have no diplomatic ties.
