Alexandra says her mother 'wants to have a life'

(Newser) – In the for-what-it's-worth department: Nancy Pelosi's daughter tells the conservative Big Government website that her mom would love to leave Congress. "She would retire right now, if the donors she has didn’t want her to stay so badly," says filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi. "She’s 71, she wants to have a life, she’s done. It’s obligation, that’s all I’m saying." A follow-up text had this all-important caveat, however: "I have never talked to Nancy Pelosi about any of this."

In the original interview, Alexandra Pelosi also kind of called out Anderson Cooper. "I could give you chapter and verse on what's going on in the media, and I'm not talking about Andrew Breitbart, I'm talking about Anderson Cooper," she said. She elaborated later, accusing CNN and 60 Minutes of editing interviews with her mother "out of context."

It is amazing how much hatred that Nancy Pelosi fosters in the cons.... It is equally amazing how much the cons seem to fear her.... She must be doing something correct.... Don't resign just yet Ms. Pelosi........

Her bills were racist,putting certain groups up on pedestals,like hate crimes. She has wasted the time of congress with her pedestal bills. When she had the majority she never once tackled Americas real problems, like our budget or our out of control deficit or the phony wars on terrorism. Do America a favor and craw in a hole and die.

Pelosi's leadership skills put the Republicans to shame. She looked for bipartisanship long before Obama was elected Senator.  A matter of fact, in the past she worked with Newt on 418 bills!!  Today, Republicans balk at the idea of bipartisanship.
