Bachmann: Get Missiles Ready for Iran

Launches her only Iowa TV ad

(Newser) – No more Mrs. Nice Presidential Candidate: Michele Bachmann says if she were president, she'd put Iran in its place by putting US missiles on alert and threatening a blockade, she told CBS today. Following Iran's announcement that it had developed a nuclear fuel rod, Bachmann said she'd deploy Patriot and ballistic missiles here and in the Middle East to prove that "we will do whatever it takes," the AP reports.

Looking to shore up support ahead of tomorrow's caucuses in Iowa, Bachmann's campaign released its first TV spot today, which points to Bachmann's Iowa roots, saying she's "one of our own." Seeking to avoid finishing in last place, Bachmann is hoping for a "miracle." She joins Rick Santorum in calling for an Iran crackdown.

Didn't I just read this story yesterday?  These republicans are all blending into one another.  Anyway, there's no way Bachmann actually means anything she's been saying for the past few months.  Sensationalist media has brought politicians to say anything to stay "interesting" because that gets them free air time.  This is all a response to and promotion of the rhetoric that hypnotizes the lazy people in front of their picture boxes.  This statement just demonstrates that both she and Santorum are monkeys who will dance for applause and a quarter. I mean seriously, aren't we just pulling ourselves out of a war we couldn't justify with no clear exit strategy? Don't people remember the last 8 years?! We never remember.

And here we go, yet another supposedly Christian candidate for President who is ready to send our young men and women off to fight and die in war. These "Christian" Republicans are certainly bloodthirsty hypocrites, aren't they?

It's always ugly to see a candidate gasping for air.  But now she can get back to finding a cure for gay. Good night Mrs. Bachmann, we hardly knew ya.
