(User Submitted) – Perhaps the most outrageous statement at last nights debate, according to Joan Walsh at Salon, was made by Rick Santorum. He claims the GOP should stop using the term 'middle class' because it plays into the class warfare of Barack Obama "something that should not be part of the Republican lexicon.”

Twitter was soon afire with comments including one that pointed to a page on Santorum's own website titled "Santorum hopes to rebuild the middle class." Walsh notes "This GOP field will say anything it takes to get elected, each and every one of them." Even non-panderer Ron Paul didn't escape Walsh's critical eye for calling Dr. Martin Luther King a 'libertarian'. She writes "[Dr. King] was a closet libertarian. Who knew?"

Ron Paul never said MLK was a libertarian, they asked him "Dr. Paul who are your heroes?" He replied "Dr. MLK is one of my heroes because he embraced the libertarian principles of peaceful resistance and peaceful protest like Rosa Parks". That is his whole statement, in case any of you would rather hear the truth than a bunch of spin. That Walsh guy has zero credibility after a lie like that.
