(Newser) – Police in England have identified the body of a girl found last week on the grounds of Queen Elizabeth's behemoth Sandringham estate, reports People. The victim is 17-year-old Alisa Dmitrijeva, a Latvian immigrant last seen getting into a green Lexus with two male friends in August. She was reported missing by her grandmother nearly a week later. "We are still trying to establish any activity which took place on or around the site during the time frame of the end of August to the end of September 2011," says a detective.

Alisa's family declined to comment, except for her grandmother, who told People via an interpreter: "There have been so many days, wondering where she is, and what has happened, I don't know what to think any more. One day you have someone in your life, the next you don't. Then it feels like they are never there." Alisa's body was found a few miles from the royal residence on the 31-square-mile estate. The case has been classified as a murder.
