Van der Sloot Sentenced to 28 Years

Guilty plea doesn't do him much good

(Newser) – If Joran Van der Sloot hoped his guilty plea in the killing of Stephany Flores would win him a light sentence, no such luck: A court in Peru sentenced him to 28 years today—he faced a maximum of 30—and ordered him to pay a $75,000 fine to Flores' family, report Fox News and the AP. The sentencing comes a day after a US judge declared Natalee Holloway dead. Van der Sloot remains the prime suspect in her 2005 disappearance, and her parents are still pushing for him to be extradited to the US to face trial.

Peru could do the human race a favor and not give him any preferential treatment and let the inmates take care of business

In Peru, he only has to serve 1/2 that time.  Then, our FBI will go get him, bring him back to the states and try him for extorting money from the Holloways.  That should put him in an American jail for a decade or so.  He is evil, sick, and every bit as dangerous as Charles Manson.  He needs to die.

He will get a few more years for each inmate he kills.
